Urban Upgrade.
At San Francisco’s Bosworth Pedestrian Bridge, Create Peace Project helped turn everyday infrastructure into a vibrant expression of community pride. In partnership with Glen Park Beautiful, artist Ross Holzman led Glen Park School students in creating 400 square feet of mosaics across five bridge pillars. Patterns inspired by cultures around the world celebrate the city’s diversity, while donated tile from Heath Ceramics, Fireclay Tile, and McIntyre Tile brings lasting beauty to the crossing. Built through neighborhood generosity and children’s creativity, the project shows what becomes possible when a community comes together to transform its shared spaces.

SF School Rises Up Together.
Together We Rise” celebrates the strength of a community rebuilding connection after the pandemic. Led by artist Ross Holzman and Create Peace Project, more than 300 students and over 100 community members helped create this 800-square-foot mosaic at San Francisco’s Sanchez Elementary School. Honoring Latinx heritage and weaving together symbols of culture, community, and peace, the mural gave children a lasting voice on their campus. Supported by Ripple, the project transformed thousands of individual tile pieces into a shared declaration of resilience, belonging, and hope—a daily reminder that everyone contributes to something greater.
